Value Proposition Scorer

Paste your value proposition. Find out whether a buyer could repeat it back — or whether it sounds like every other vendor.

Your value proposition

Your score

We check four things: is it specific, is it measurable, is it short enough to repeat, and does it avoid the words every competitor also uses.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a good value proposition?

It names who it is for, the specific outcome they get, and a number that makes the outcome measurable. If a competitor could put their logo on it unchanged, it is positioning, not a value proposition.

How long should a value proposition be?

Short enough to repeat from memory — usually under 30 words. The test is whether your champion can relay it accurately to their boss when you are not in the room.

Should a value proposition include numbers?

Yes wherever you can support them. A number gives the buyer something to compare against doing nothing, and doing nothing is what you are actually competing with.

What words should I avoid in a value proposition?

Anything every competitor also claims: best-in-class, seamless, innovative, robust, game-changing. Buyers have learned to skip these, so they cost you attention without adding meaning.
